Install
wx is one binary: it runs the daemon (wx serve) and is also the command-line client.
npm install -g --allow-scripts=@agent-wechat/cli @agent-wechat/cliwx --json versionThe package’s install script downloads the wx binary for your OS and CPU and checks it against hashes shipped in the package. --allow-scripts approves that script.
pnpm add -g @agent-wechat/clipnpm approve-builds -g # select @agent-wechat/cliwx --json versionpnpm doesn’t run install scripts until you approve them, so wx isn’t usable until you do.
Download the file for your machine from the latest release, rename it to wx (wx.exe on Windows) and put it on your PATH:
| Machine | File |
|---|---|
| Linux x64 / ARM64 | wx-vVERSION-linux-x64-gnu, wx-vVERSION-linux-arm64-gnu |
| macOS, Apple Silicon | wx-vVERSION-darwin-arm64 |
| Windows x64 / ARM64 | wx-vVERSION-win32-x64.exe, wx-vVERSION-win32-arm64.exe |
Check the file’s SHA-256 against wx-vVERSION-checksums.json from the same release.
docker pull ghcr.io/thisnick/agent-wechat-native:latestThe image contains wx, FFmpeg and FFprobe, for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. See Keep it running for a Compose file.
